Dynamic Languages

Welcome to the dynamic languages blog!

The purpose of this group is to explore dynamic languages and develop skillsets over and above traditional languages like Java or C#. It’s about bringing some fun back to coding.

This group will begin with the Ruby language, but all dynamic language interests are encouraged. The practical focus at first will be on a Ruby implementation of a SIP Server: SIP Sanity. That said, who knows what direction we’ll take. We need to look at Ruby-on-Rails for a start – that might be a good way to web-enable the SIP Server.

Documentation on the SIP Server already exists, so it should be easy enough to pick up what’s going on.

If you want to look at: JRuby, Groovy, Python, Jython, JavaScript and even a little Erlang, this is the place to do it.

Drop me a mail to get started: rrodger

Good Luck!

Richard
